Our Connection To Gunnison
Ashley has been coming to Gunnison her whole life, and later graduated from Western Colorado University.
Frank became a Gunnison fan on his first trip here with Ashley years ago and they’ve been visiting friends and family in the valley as much as possible ever since!
After living abroad for over ten years, when we finally started considering putting roots down in the states, we both knew it just had to be in Gunnison.
It took a lot of searching, but we finally found The Lodge and immediately knew it was the one. It’s a big home (Ashley immediately nicknamed it The Lodge) for the two of us but it’s perfect for hosting friends and family and sharing with rental guests when we’re not there.
It sits right on the edge of town, backed by acres of open horse land and expansive mountain views. We love watching the horses and cattle in the distance, catching glimpses of foxes out back, and ending the day with a quiet sunset from the living room.
It’s the perfect mix of peaceful and convenient, and we’re excited to share it with guests who want to experience Gunnison the way we do.
We understand the difference between a place you simply stay and a place you truly settle into & experience.
We’ve been hosting for nearly 10 years, starting back when we were living in Mexico and renting out our home whenever we traveled. It took off faster than we ever expected, and before long, neighbors started asking for help with their own homes.
That’s how we built (and later sold) a property management company in Mexico, known for one thing above everything else. Care.
We’ve always believed guests aren’t just reservations on a calendar. They’re people making memories & they are making those memories in a home, not a hotel. Some of our past guests have become repeat visitors, clients, and even dear friends.
That experience shaped how we host today. Thoughtfully, personally, and with the goal of making your stay feel easy from start to finish.
